Prisoners on Bataan under interrogation. Left to right: Privates Samuel Stenzler and Frank Spear of the 31st Infantry Regiment (U.S.), and Captain James Gallagher of the 33rd Infantry Regiment (P.A.). Spear was originally with the 4th Chemical Company but reassigned to the 31st Infantry as an augmentee on Bataan. By the end of the day (April 9, 1942), Captain Gallagher was dead.
